Outdoor Adventure Expo 2023

Thank you to all who attended the 2023 Outdoor Adventure Expo! We had a great event made possible by every vendor and every visitor.

Outdoor Adventure Expo 2023

Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 12 pm to 5 pm. |  Talleyrand Park

The Outdoor Adventure Expo highlights Bellefonte’s beautiful and easily accessible natural assets while showcasing regional vendors, nonprofits, and businesses that specialize in outdoor and recreation-related products.

This is a free-admission, regional event to promote nature-based tourism and commerce. This event also serves as a fundraiser for Downtown Bellefonte, Inc. to aid in its economic development initiatives.

The Expo has been traditionally held in the fall, but based on past years' weather, has been moved to spring for 2023. The Expo will feature adventure-based nonprofits, makers, and vendors. We also offer free workshops on topics like kayaking, fly fishing, milkweed seed balls, cooking demonstrations, beekeeping, backpacking, hammock camping, and camping gear basics. In addition, historic walking tours and croquet games will be offered. Previous events have boasted an estimated 2,500-3,000 attendees with more than 60 vendors participating.

Why we do it:

The Outdoor Adventure Expo is a full day of sharing what makes Bellefonte and Happy Valley so unique. Bellefonte is the gateway to adventure so naturally, adventure is literally at our doorstep and we want to celebrate all the businesses and nonprofits that support the mission to get outdoors.

Mini Music Fest is back this year!

We are again partnering with Historic Bellefonte Inc to bring you a full day of music during the event.

The Music will be held alongside the event from 2pm-5pm

  • South Bound 2pm-3pm
  • The Centrefugues 3:30pm-4:40pm
