As part of the Friday in the 'Fonte celebration in September, we’re going to bring Bellefonte to life with colorful artwork created with chalk. Squares will be designed by residents and families, as well as local businesses and organizations during this fundraiser that benefits Downtown Bellefonte Inc.!
Chalk the Walk hours will now be from 5-8 p.m. instead of the previously advertised, 12-8 p.m. Those who have already registered can pick up their chalk at:
SpringBoard, 221 W High St, from 9 am-4 pm, today through Thursday, September 28
OR
Centre County Courthouse, 102 S Allegheny St, from 5-8pm at the DBI Friday in the ’Fonte booth on September 29.
Tickets are now only $10 on Eventbrite!
Participants can purchase one or more squares to design and decorate between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday — supplies included! A panel will judge each square in the following three categories: Family/Children; Business/Organization; Individual. Want more room to spread out? Purchase multiple squares and make your mural as big as fits on the sidewalk!
Again this year, we're doing a People's Choice Award, where our social media followers will also vote on their favorite square via social media. All prize winners will be announced on Downtown Bellefonte Inc.'s Facebook page in the week following the event.
Thanks to the Bellefonte Art Museum, supplies for this event are covered! You’ll be able to register and pick up your chalk at the Downtown Bellefonte Inc. table at Friday in the 'Fonte (at the Centre County Courthouse) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
