Chalk the Walk fundraiser planned in Downtown Bellefonte

Join us for Chalk the Walk on Sunday, May 3, in Downtown Bellefonte! 

As part of the Bellefonte Art Museum’s First Sunday celebration in May, we’re going to bring Bellefonte to life with colorful artwork created with chalk on High and Allegheny streets downtown. Squares will be designed by residents and families, as well as local businesses and organizations during this fundraiser that benefits Downtown Bellefonte Inc.!

Participants can purchase one or more $20 squares to design and decorate between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. — supplies included! At 3 p.m., a panel will  judge each square in the following three categories: Family/Children; Business/Organization; Artist.

Not an artist? Don’t worry. If you’d like your business or organization to have a square, but don’t think you’re up to it, the Bellefonte Art Museum will help pair you with a local professional or student artist! Just notate this when you buy your tickets. Artist pairings are limited and will be first purchased, first served. 

Thanks to the Bellefonte Art Museum, supplies for this event are covered! You’ll be able to register and pick up your chalk at the Centre County Courthouse (on the sidewalk on Allegheny Street) beginning at 10 a.m.
